Isaac’s Kitchen supports families during the critical transition home by providing nourishing meals after hospital discharge and between inpatient treatment cycles.
Isaac’s Kitchen is a Cali Kids Medical Foundation program created to support families during one of the most vulnerable times of their hospital journey—the transition home.

Isaac’s Kitchen provides nourishing, health-conscious comfort meals to families during the first two weeks after a child is discharged from the hospital, as well as in between inpatient treatment cycles. These moments are often overwhelming, as families adjust to a new normal after extended hospital stays.
This time period is critical. Families are exhausted, emotionally drained, and often returning home to empty refrigerators after weeks or months spent in the hospital. It is also a time to decompress, regroup, and begin healing—both physically and emotionally.

Isaac’s Kitchen exists to ease that transition by ensuring families have access to comforting, nutritious meals when they need it most—so they can focus on rest, recovery, and caring for their child.
When asked how Cali Kids should honor his fight, Isaac’s answer was immediate and honest:
“Food. It has to be food. I can’t be the only one who wants good food that isn’t full of crap when I’m in the hospital.”
That moment became the heart of Isaac’s Kitchen. His vision reminds us that good food is not a luxury—it is care.
Every meal shared through Isaac’s Kitchen carries his light, his heart, and his belief that families deserve better.
Menus are inspired by Isaac’s favorite foods, hospital comfort foods, and silly cravings!
